Company tax deemed country's most representative fiscal revenue source

by www.portalangop.co.ao
Luanda - Company Tax, which is imposed on the capital of firms, continues to to be Angola?s most representative state revenue and the one with the greatest impact on the General Budget. ,

This was disclosed last Thursday to ANGOP by the director of the Fiscal Services Department of the General Tax Administration (AGT), Júlio Londa.

Júlio Londa explained that the estimate for the present year, in terms of tax revenues, is that the State will yield about 5.4 billion kwanzas from Company Tax collection.

The technician spoke briefly to ANGOP on the fringes of the workshop on Company Tax, having also disclosed that the estimated revenue for this year, in terms of the non-oil sector, is of 1,7 trillion kwanzas.

He said the AGT continues to work to see a growth of about 15% in each of the state’s taxation areas, so that the predictions outlined in the 2017 State Budget can be materialised.

He revealed equally that amid the international crisis caused by the steep fall in the crude-oil price, the country has been recording a slight rise in revenues coming from outside that sector (oil).
